When I say Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu; the first I remember is CONTROVERSY! A hell lot of stupid protests by a few people happened since they claim the movie hurt their feelings. I was thoroughly upset when this situation rose up. Cinema is a perspective of a director; his views, his intention, his IDEA! Please give filmmakers the freedom they deserve! Anyway, I could talk about this for days. Coming to the Blu-Ray, a pretty sharp release. Video and Audio quality are nice. One of the better Blu-Rays out recently. This Blu-Ray is brought to us by Aditya Videos.
Video Quality:
This Blu-Ray is a dual-layered one. This the best Blu-Ray from Aditya till date. Their previous releases, Badrinath and 100% Love, didn't impress me much since their Video Quality were merely average. Coming to CGR, they have improved tremendously but still there are some issues with grain. Grain can be noticed here and there but can be negligible since it is way better than Aditya's earlier releases. I was thoroughly disappointed that Blu-Ray is not the uncut version of the film. They have not included parts of Telugu Thalli scene, PK-Bramhi News Reading scene, etc. How can a Blu-Ray not be UNCUT? We are paying loads of money for the Blu-Rays and we don't get to see the whole version of the movie? Please get this right from next time. Also, I would like to mention that the menu style used for this one is pretty unique and I loved it.
Audio Quality:
There are two audio tracks on this one; Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS HD Master Audio. Both are pretty good. No complaints at all. The BGM during the title credits was amazing. Although the songs were mediocre, I would like to praise Mani Sharma for the BGM.
Others:
Aditya Videos always comes out with decent Blu-Ray Cover Art and this one is no exception. Good font used on the back.
Recommendation:
Although the movie has minimal repeat value, I would recommend this one if you liked the movie. I liked certain scenes in the movie since they were bold and brave. But it very unfairly priced, at least here in the United States of America. Go for it!
Blu-Ray Price:
$29.99
